New Armstrong Unified Communications Offering Connects Businesses with Voice, Video, Messaging and Chat from Any Device
Cloud native communications software brings advanced voice services to market quickly and cost-effectively

BUTLER, PA. – April 7, 2017 – Armstrong, a leading provider of business communication solutions, today announced Armstrong Unified Voice, a fully-managed, enterprise-grade unified communications solution that connects businesses with a much broader range of functionality at a fraction of the cost of a traditional PBX phone system. Its fully-featured UC capabilities, based on Accession Communicator from Metaswitch, includes voice, instant messaging, presence and application integration with video and web conferencing for up to 50 attendees.

“Innovative providers like Armstrong are taking a lead in service virtualization, enabling their customers to replace expensive, space-consuming and maintenance-intensive hardware PBXs with software,” said Ian Maclean, Chief Marketing Officer at Metaswitch. “This not only lowers costs and eases deployment, but increases service flexibility to ensure that users always have the latest innovations at their fingertips.”

Armstrong deployed Metaswitch’s Accession Communicator for mobile and desktop alongside the MetaView Management Suite, featuring the Metaswitch SIP Provisioning Server and Service Assurance Server (SAS) and providing unparalleled network visibility and continuous diagnostic capabilities. Metaswitch Perimeta Session Border Controllers (SBC) were also deployed, along with the MetaSphere MTAs for its call control, unified communications and contact center solutions. The solution is backed by Armstrong’s award-winning customer support.

“This solution gives businesses a cloud-based UC solution with a flexible infrastructure that grows with their needs and saves money, but even more importantly will increase productivity, improve communication and expand mobile and computer capabilities into a cross platform user experience,” said Steven Begg, vice president of business services for Armstrong. “We’re excited to add Unified Voice to our portfolio of services, providing our customers with a simplified all-in-one solution. It’s the last system you’ll ever need.”
