• Emory Hill Announces Retirement of Co-Founder Robert H. Hill; Neil Kilian and Clayton Hill Named Partners

    NEW CASTLE, DE (January 11, 2023) – NAI Emory Hill announced today that Robert (Bob) H. Hill is retiring from his longstanding role as president and partner.

     
    Bob Hill has a 45+ year history of service to the commercial real estate industry. Hill joined Clay Emory in 1981 to establish Emory Hill & Company and founded Emory Hill Real Estate Services, Inc. in 1983. Bob served as President of Emory Hill & Company and Vice President of Emory Hill Real Estate Services, Inc. Emory Hill has built and developed over 15 million square feet in four mid-Atlantic states and has grown to be one of the largest and most reputable full-service commercial real estate firms in the region.
     
    Bob will remain a general partner in all Emory Hill partnerships and will maintain an office at the Emory Hill headquarters in New Castle.
     
    Neil Kilian, Director of Brokerage, and Clayton Hill, Director of Property Management, will succeed Hill and join Carmen J. Facciolo, Jr. as partners of the firm.
     
    Neil Kilian, head of NAI Emory Hill’s Commercial Brokerage Division, oversees a team of ten brokers and agents. A graduate of the University of Delaware (BA, Political Science), he joined Emory Hill in 1998 and specializes in the leasing and sale of commercial real estate, landlord and tenant representation, site selection, land development, bankruptcy, and receivership. He oversees the leasing of a portfolio of over 60 buildings totaling in excess of four million square feet in the tri-state area.
     
    His professional affiliations and designations include the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR), Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM), the Commercial Industrial Realty Council (CIRC), the New Castle County Board of Realtors (NCCBOR), the Delaware Association of Realtors (DAR), and the National Association of Realtors (NAR).
     
    Neil is the Delaware Chair for the PA/NJ/DE CCIM Chapter, a Board member of the SIOR Philadelphia Chapter, and Board Member of the Commercial Industrial Realty Council. He is also active with the New Castle County Chamber of Commerce and the Emerging Enterprise Center (Board Member) and serves as Secretary and Treasurer of the Arnold Fish & Game Preserve.
     
    Clayton Hill joined NAI Emory Hill in 2004 bringing with him experience in the fields of commercial mortgage brokerage and institutional real estate investment. He currently oversees the Property Management and Property Management Accounting Division, which manages a portfolio in excess of four million square feet of commercial real estate, as well as nearly a thousand multi- and single-family residential units, and numerous maintenance, condominium, and homeowner associations. In addition, Clay handles receivership work and investment analysis for internal and third-party real estate acquisitions and repositions.
     
    Clay earned a Bachelor of Economics and French from Colgate University (‘00) and a Masters in Commercial Real Estate Investment from Johns Hopkins University (’04). He is a Certified Property Manager (CPM), a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM), and serves on the Commercial Industrial Realty Council (CIRC). He is alumnus of Leadership Delaware (‘09) and President of the Stoney Run Homeowners Association. Clay is a Grand Opera House Trustee and Board Member of Action for Delaware’s Children.
