ELKTON, MD. -- County Executive Alan McCarthy is pleased to announce that starting on Monday, March 26, 2018, a cashier will be stationed in the Division of Permits and Inspections (P&I) office.  The positioning of the cashier will allow individuals who are applying for building permits or licenses to pay in P&I and will eliminate the need to traverse between P&I and the Finance Department to pay their fees.

In the spring of 2017, the County Executive combined the offices of Permits & Inspections, Planning & Zoning and the Department of Public Works Development Services, resulting in the creation of the Department of Land Use & Development Services. This latest initiative furthers the County Executive's efforts to streamline and simplify the permitting and development process and to enhance the 'Cecil Serves' customer service experience for Cecil County citizens.

Dr. McCarthy stated that, “Cecil County Government is striving everyday to improve the way we provide service to our citizens. I feel that this development will create not only a more positive customer experience but will further our efforts to facilitate a seamless and effortless permitting experience.”
