      The Cecil County Community Mediation Center, Inc. (CCCMC) is a non-profit organization providing free, effective, and confidential mediation services to everyone in Cecil County, MD, regardless of their ability to pay. Mediation is a voluntary and confidential process that brings people in dispute together to ease tensions, clarify issues, and when possible, reach an agreement.

      Typical mediations involve:
      family matters; parenting plans (child custody/access agreements), marriage, parenting, elder care, teen issues, finances, inheritance
      school related; attendance, behavior, peer-to-peer, parent/teacher, Individual Education Plan (IEP) Meeting Facilitation
      neighbors and neighborhoods (HOA)
      friends
      roommates
      landlord/tenant
      business; consumer/merchant
      workplace; employee/employer, employee/employee

      Some agreements can be submitted to resolve court cases, ask us how!

      CCCMC offers a unique opportunity for volunteers to obtain high-quality conflict resolution skill training while empowering community members to resolve their own conflicts and repair relationships using the mediation process. With a Volunteer Commitment, Volunteers receive an intensive 50-hour Basic Mediation Training, at no-cost to them, followed by an apprenticeship. Once established, volunteers may choose specialized areas of training including: Attendance Mediation, Parenting Plan Mediation, Prison Reentry Mediation, and Individual Education Plan (IEP) Meeting Facilitation.

      CCCMC follows the Mediation Confidentiality Code of MD Section 3-1803 and Judiciary Rule 17, and Ethical Standards of Mediators.
